Please plan to be at our upcoming annual congregation meeting on Sunday, July 19, at 6 pm. We will present the 26–27 budget, vote on the Session’s recommendation to call pastor Matt as an associate pastor, and vote to elect Darryl DeHaan to the office of deacon.

Session Update | On Tuesday, June 16th, the Session met for their regularly scheduled meeting.

After a meal and time of prayer for various members of the church, the Session examined Darryl DeHaan as the final step for his deacon candidate process. After conducting the exam and praying with him, the Session approved putting him forward for election to the office of deacon at the upcoming congregational meeting.
The Session met with Tyson Smith regarding Tyson resigning as a deacon. After concluding that time in prayer, the Session accepted Tyson's resignation and made a plan for communicating it to the congregation.
After reviewing May's financials, the Session affirmed the approval of the FY 26-27 budget from the prior meeting. Additionally, as the diaconate had elected deacon Adam VanderHeiden to serve as Treasurer for the church, the Session ratified his election, and thanked ruling elder Ryan Wynne for his many years of service in this role.
The Session also adopted updated charters for the Session and Diaconate, and discussed the incomining nominees for officer candidates.

Pastoral Internship Support | Abe Nienhuis

As you heard on a previous Sunday, our pastoral intern Abe Nienhuis is raising support so he can pursue pastoral training full time. Christ Church Press attended our first conference recently, put on by ACCS (Association of Classical Christian Schools). We staffed a booth and Pastor Nate also hosted a workshop on the topic of church schools.
